Indianapolis-based photo friend Christian came to stay with me for two days which meant I had less than 48 hours to show him Cleveland.
As soon as he arrived, I took him to Kent. I wanted to show him my college and all the cool places around there. We got take out mac n’ cheese then ate in the tunnels by the river aka my favorite place in Kent.
I wanted to take him to The Ledges in CVNP but, surprise! The road was closed. Ohio has four season: pre winter, winter, post winter, and construction. We are currently in construction season where every street is closed.
Day 2 started with bagels. We got breakfast in the afternoon then Chris messed around with my camera as I drove us down to University Circle.
I wanted to take him to the art museum, through the cultural gardens, to Rockefeller Greenhouse, then up to Lake Erie.
We didn’t plan too well and the greenhouse was closed by the time we were ready to head up there.
I discovered Gordon Park by accident a few weeks ago and currently it’s one of my favorite spots for Lake Erie.
It’s a peaceful part of the lake since it’s not really a beach. There are solstice stairs and lots of rocks to climb on with a pretty view of downtown.
It took Christian about 5 minutes before water splashed up into his camera. His 6d stopped working for about an hour but ended up fixing itself. Shoutout to Canon for being indestructible.
Took him back to suburbia for ice cream.
Headed out to dinner in Chagrin Falls with my brother as well.
