I was introduced to Modern Baseball about a year ago (shoutout to Spotify Discovery). The Philadelphia-bred band has remained on my playlists for the last 12 months, I was lucky enough to catch them at the Agora last Saturday.
I love Modern Baseball – really. One thing that really bothered me was the fact that their two lead singers didn’t stand in the light. One was on the far left and the other was on the far right. Right where the lights don’t hit, where the backdrop can’t be seen.
In reality, a good photographer is able to get good photos from anywhere. But, I’m not Adam Elmakias, I’m not able to shoot some of these dark areas.
Second to play were Joyce Manor.
Their lead singer walked out in a button up and glasses. He looked kind of nerdy, it was kind of cute.
He opened his mouth, though, and set the crowd on fire.
They played my favorite song “Constant Headache” half way through and I was screaming along with everyone.
First to play was Thin Lips.
Thin Lips has this really badass lead singer. She was so cool, I want to be best friends with her.
I hope to see these bands again, soon.
